Vanilla preservation
Keep the character of classic Minecraft at the center: familiar mechanics, player-built worlds, and room to make your own story.

Our server is the starting point. The wider platform is a direction for development—not a finished suite of products.
Keep the character of classic Minecraft at the center: familiar mechanics, player-built worlds, and room to make your own story.
Our starting pointWork toward connections between legacy clients and newer server environments, with support assessed version by version.
Scope & limitationsDevelop maintainable foundations for classic gameplay, with an emphasis on world continuity, testing, and recovery.
The technical storyReduce repetitive administration through purpose-built tooling. A broader public toolset is a goal, not an announced product release.
The direction aheadBuilt around the game
PublicEvo began as a vanilla Minecraft server. That experience remains the foundation: a shared world, familiar mechanics, and the freedom to build at your own pace.
Our classic gameplay reference is Minecraft 1.6.4. The wider platform direction is to preserve that character while developing the technology around it—not to replace it with a different game.
The server began with an idea for a mystery-themed world. When players found it through a server listing and started building, the focus shifted toward vanilla play.
The name recalls Evolution, the private mystery-themed server that inspired the original idea. PublicEvo grew into a world with a character of its own.

02 / Compatibility, clearly stated
Preserving a gameplay version and supporting a client version are different things. We do not treat them as interchangeable.
Minecraft 1.6.4 is the gameplay reference. This website does not publish a verified client-version matrix; check the wiki or ask the team about your exact release.
